Singapore PM Lee has urged young S'poreans to marry early and have more babies in his National Day Rally speech.
'Marry young and procreate'
"There must be a balance between career and marriage," Lee said, urging women to "consider getting married and having children while you're still young."Gosh, don't talk to me about babies now. IMOMr PM Lee HL, for people who were born with a silver spoon in his mouth like you(for you it's GOLD spoon) are able to support the babies financially at a very young age is due to good family background. While for poor people like me and my mum are struggling to make ends meet and you're making it sound so "easy" to have babies to have babies.Having a baby is not temporary, it's forever. Singapore currency is so small, average jobs nowadays just in between 800-1.1k without OT. Unlike in US people earn 2k USD a month as a sweeper.Want us to get married earlier? Can no problem, give us more baby incentives la and I REALLY MEAN MORE. Government is good at giving incentives and small money. They think that a few thousand dollars can attract more people to give birth? $3k for 1st and 2nd child and $6 for 3rd and 4th, you think it's enough? enough for 1st 3 mths only lor. Oh please give us a break man!!!
Housing and transports? Who pay?And utility bills, inflation and our personal spendings? Who settle?Agent Smith said: "Humans are the biggest virus. The worst epidermic ever."
I hope I can give my parents a better life than now after I joined the working society.
